A non-profit education project

Free math help for every student who fell behind.

FactorSir helps middle and high school students catch up in Algebra and Geometry: we find the exact gap, fix it one step at a time, and practice until it sticks. Free for students. Funded by people who believe every kid can learn math.

Problemx² + 5x + 6 = 0
Step 1Find two numbers: × 6, + 5
Step 2(x + 2)(x + 3) = 0
Answerx = −2 or x = −3
Break it into factors. Every hard problem is a few easy steps.

Our mission

Too many students fall behind in math, not because they can't do it, but because one missed step early on makes everything after it confusing. Private tutoring fixes that, but most families can't afford it.

FactorSir exists to give every student that missing step, for free. We combine patient, step-by-step teaching with technology that pinpoints exactly where a student is stuck, so no time is wasted re-teaching what they already know.

How it works

1

Find the gap

A short diagnostic test shows exactly which skills are missing, from fractions and negatives to equations and proofs.

2

Fix it step by step

Students show their work, and FactorSir finds the first step that went wrong, then explains it the way a good teacher would.

3

Practice until it sticks

Short, focused practice on just the weak skills, with progress students and parents can see every week.

Subjects

Starting first

Algebra 1

Expressions, linear equations, inequalities, functions, factoring and quadratics.

Starting first

Geometry

Angles, triangles, congruence and similarity, area and volume, and how to write a proof.

Coming later

Algebra 2 and beyond

Once Algebra and Geometry are strong, we'll grow into the next courses students need.

Our promise

  • Free for students. No subscriptions, no paywalls for the core lessons.
  • No ads. Students are here to learn, not to be sold to.
  • Privacy first. We never sell student or family data.
  • Donor funded. Every dollar goes to teaching and the tools that support it.
